Purple Reign: Ashanti and Nafessa Williams Battle for the Title of Who Wore it Best in this CB Minidress

Ashanti recently donned a House of CB dress that actress Nafessa Williams wore months earlier and because of that, it’s time for another fashion throwdown.

The “Rock Wit U” singer wore the long-sleeved metallic purple minidress when she appeared on the entertainment news show “Extra” at Universal Studios Hollywood. During her April 15 visit, the star promoted her new movie, “Stuck,” a musical which will bow in theaters Friday.

Ashanti, who is also starring in the new CBS show “Murder,” paired the frock with matching purple nails, strappy black heels and a can’t-miss platinum blond bob.

Back in December 2018, Williams also wore the dress but elected to wear it in a more revealing matter, opening up the top half to be in the style of a plunging neckline. She paired the look with a sleek, black, high ponytail and glittery purple booties.

The “Black Lightning” star was celebrating her 29th birthday at the time and partied it up at a celebration hosted by Los Angeles promoter Frankie Delgado at Hyde Sunset, a swanky restaurant in the area.

“Bday party was 🔥🔥🔥. Everyone who came out to celebrate with me, thank you! 💜💜.” she said on Instagram last year.

After fans soaked in both looks online, they each chimed in to decide who they thought wore the dress in the most stylish way.

“Nafessa murdered it 🔥

“Ashanti 😍

“Both look great💜 but like it on @nafessawilliams I like that she has it open in the front.”

“Nafessa wears everything better than everyone she’s so annoying lol “

“Ashanti minus that hair”

“Ashanti styled it well but she should have gotten a bigger size, beautiful dress.”
